J & P West Coast Seafood, Inc. was founded in 1979 by John Siracusa. Originally from Chicago, John owned fish markets and delicatessens during the 1960s and 1970s. After relocating to Southern California in 1979, John started his first seafood business called Fisher Of Men and he also owned fishing boats that brought a steady stream of local seafood to the weekly San Fernando Valley farmers’ market. John's son Peter began working with his dad and has now been doing the farmers’ markets for over 34 years where he is very well known. John continued to work the markets until about thirteen years ago when Peter’s wife, Marilyn stepped in to help run the business. The main warehouse is located in San Pedro, but since the family resides in Simi Valley Marilyn wanted to provide her community with grade A fresh seafood. She takes pride in her product and always delivers the finest quality. Marilyn is also opening Marilyn's Mediterranean Kitchen a world class seafood restaurant.
